Course Introduction

The PET 1 (Preliminary English Test) course at Chau Thanh Foreign Language Center is for students aged 13 and above, an important step after KET in the Cambridge pathway. The course helps students develop English to level B1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), expanding their ability to use the language in more complex learning and communication situations.

Course Objectives

Develop 4 skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading, Writing at level B1 (PET). Expand vocabulary and intermediate grammar structures. Practice independent communication skills in a variety of situations. Build a solid foundation for the Cambridge PET exam and higher levels.

Learning content

Listening & Speaking Skills: Understand longer conversations and take notes. Maintain longer conversations on more difficult topics. Present and express personal opinions on a wide range of topics. Use language confidently in real-life situations.

Reading & Writing Skills: Read and understand different types of texts and extract key information. Write clearly structured paragraphs, essays, letters, emails, short stories and short stories. Use a variety of vocabulary and grammatical structures to express complex ideas.
